New NSF Award Advances Plasma-Based Materials Research
FTPP is proud to spotlight a new NSF award supporting innovative plasma-based materials research led by Dr. Shane Aaron Catledge of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
Dr. Catledge has received an NSF award for the project, “A Microwave Plasma Approach for Manufacturing Refractory High Entropy Alloys.” His research focuses on high-entropy materials and the use of microwave-induced plasma to develop advanced synthesis and manufacturing approaches.
The new award builds on the continued advancement of plasma-enabled materials research and carries forward the legacy of collaboration and innovation fostered through FTPP.
FTPP congratulates Dr. Catledge on this exciting accomplishment and looks forward to seeing how this research advances the development of next-generation high-entropy materials and plasma-based manufacturing technologies. Congratulations, Dr. Catledge, on carrying the legacy of FTPP forward with this new award!
