ISWC Learns about Space Weather Through IMAP Charades!

As part of the FTPP International Space Weather Camp (ISWC), students from the United States and Germany came together for hands-on activities that brought space weather concepts to life.
One of the group’s activities was IMAP Charades! Working in teams, participants acted out and guessed heliophysics and space weather concepts related to NASA’s Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) mission. Through this interactive activity, students explored key concepts connected to the study of the solar wind, energetic particles, and the interactions between the Sun and our heliosphere. The game encouraged collaboration, strengthened scientific vocabulary, and reinforced important space weather concepts in a fun and engaging way!
By combining learning with teamwork, IMAP Charades sparked curiosity, conversation, and a shared excitement for exploring the science behind our dynamic space environment. Activities like these highlight FTPP’s commitment to creating engaging educational experiences that inspire the next generation of space science researchers.
