FTPP Brings Space Science to STEAMFest 2026

FTPP was excited to participate in STEAMFest 2026! Held on October 24 at the Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama in Huntsville, the event brought together families, students, and community members for a day of hands-on activities exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM).
Throughout the event, FTPP volunteers introduced attendees to the exciting world of space science through interactive activities and educational demonstrations. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about space weather, explore scientific concepts, and discover how researchers study the Sun and its influence on our solar system.
One of the featured IMAP activities was the Sorting Challenge, where participants took part in a hands-on activity designed to encourage curiosity and problem-solving. Attendees also explored space science through interactive displays and demonstrations, making complex scientific topics more approachable and engaging for visitors of all ages. A special thank you to the IMAP team for providing the Sorting Challenge activity and helping us bring space science to life!
FTPP volunteers enjoyed connecting with the Huntsville community, answering questions, and encouraging young students to explore their interests in STEM. Events like STEAMfest provide valuable opportunities to share the excitement of scientific discovery and inspire the next generation of researchers and innovators.
