Made a Difference Award (UAH)
Laura Provenzani, Education and Outreach Coordinator with FTPP at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, supports outreach and engagement efforts through communications, event coordination, and student programming. Her work plays a key role in connecting and growing FTPP initiatives with students and the broader community.

Made a Difference Award & University Researcher of the Year Award (UAH)
Dr. Lingling Zhao, FTPP Investigator and Assistant Professor of Space Science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, was recognized with both the Made a Difference Award and the University Researcher of the Year Award. Her research in heliophysics, particularly solar wind turbulence and energetic particles, advances scientific understanding while strengthening FTPP’s research and education mission.

Graduate School Dean’s Award for Excellence in Mentorship (UAB)
Dr. Vinoy Thomas, FTPP Investigator and Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, is recognized for his exceptional mentorship. His guidance supports student success across research, academics, and professional development, contributing to FTPP’s commitment to training future leaders.
